The Paris Haute Couture spring/summer 2011 is a unique insight into each designer's creative thought processes. Each haute couture collection has a distinct personality and style. The choice of themes during the 20 showings during the last days of january is bewildering. Haute couture is about hand-craft, whether it be the 400,000 pearls embroidered on a pair of Chanel skinny trousers or the dozens of tiny pleats pressed by hand into the bodice of a Valentino gown.
