Cardigans
A cardigan is a type of sweater (or jumper) that ties, buttons or zips down the front; by contrast, a pullover does not open in front but must be "pulled over" the head to be worn.
The cardigan was named after James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan, a British military commander, following his service in the Crimean War.
Plain cardigans are often worn over shirts and inside suit jackets as a kind of less formal waistcoat or vest that restrains the necktie when the jacket has been removed.
This is one of my favorites items and by the time I had all this photographs, a big note and the perfect picture, as usual, from the The Sartorialist:
"As holiday season approaches, gift giving is on most peoples mind. So ladies, if you want to buy one item that will dramatically affect the look of your man then buy him a cardigan. As you can see from this shot, this gentleman would look great with just the shirt and jacket. However, he looks so much more refined (while maintaining a casual feel) by adding the cardigan. The cardigan can also be very slimming. It eliminates that hard visual line where the shirt meets the pants and reigns in the visual paunch of a shirt that blouses out too much at the waist. I was thinking about doing a set of "gift giving" posts. Little gifts that have a huge impact on a man's look. I guess I'm getting ahead of myself because a good cardigan would be at the top of my list."

Doggy style by Dsquared2
I studied journalism and a little ago did a specialization on fashion because I feel attracted to everything that has to do with art and design. The result is an obsession with the wide and deep ocean of talented people who create beautiful clothes, shoes, jewelry and bags, which give so much satisfaction just by looking at them. Two colorful examples are Dean and Dan from Dsquared2.
There is an older love of mine besides fashion, art and literature, and its dogs. I actually have a dog even though I change countries pretty often. He's a Boston Terrier named Rocco who's absolutely fabulous and always catching the eye of the people passing by.
As we go to the park and back, or on the long walks we take sometimes, to explore whichever city we are staying at, there are trails of smiles that Rocco leaves behind as he strolls by. So, when I stumbled upon the video to promote Dsquared's Limited Edition Leash and Collar Set for Dogs for yoox.com, I was thrilled!
The model is a French Bulldog.
Boston Terriers are often mixed up with this breed by the way.
The proceeds from the launch, underwritten by yoox.com, and sales of these luxe dog collars and leases will benefit MUCH LOVE ANIMAL RESCUE, a 100% non-profit organization dedicated to finding safe, loving homes for unwanted, neglected or abused animals.
Well, now it's two of us who drool about Dsquared2 items.
